Why one floating button beats five contact links

Most small business sites bury the phone number in a footer. Here is what happens when you stop making people hunt.

Open almost any restaurant or clinic website on a phone and try to book a table or call. Count the taps. It is usually four or five: scroll, find the menu icon, open it, find contact, then finally tap the number.

Every extra tap costs you

Visitors arriving from Google Maps or an Instagram bio have one thing in mind. They want to book, check the menu, or ask a question. If that takes more than a tap or two, a meaningful share of them leave and try the next result.

What a floating button changes

A single persistent button sits in the corner on every page. One tap opens everything you offer: booking, WhatsApp, directions, menu, reviews. Nothing is buried, and nothing depends on the visitor understanding your navigation.

  • It is always visible. No scrolling back to the header.
  • It matches intent. The actions are the things people actually came for.
  • It works the same on every page. Including the ones you forgot to add a phone number to.

What it is not

It is not a chatbot. There is nothing to train and no inbox to staff. Every button goes somewhere you already have — your booking page, your WhatsApp number, your Google listing.
